Apple cider vinegar with water (2 teaspoon to 8 ounce ratio) consumed in the morning has been reported to restore missed periods, shorten the period time, reduce cramping and to reduce bleeding.
Another trick is to increase the amount of phytoestrogens you take (foods like soy) as your body may be producing too much estrogen which can tone down estrogen production.
One 'not so natural' cure is to use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (like ibuprofen).
Consuming calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin B6, and vitamin E can all help as well.
Herbs that can help include Dong Quai (Angelica), Black Haw (crampbark), chasteberry (vitex), licorice, black cohosh, and chamomile.
